Chapter 10 of Hellblazer: Hogwarts is now up at the Pit. I shall have to do a bit of editing to spiff it up for Fiction Alley, though.

For reference's sake, since it's been a dog's age since I updated, here are links to all ten chapters so far.

Chapter 1: Woke Up This Morning
Chapter 2: It's Probably Me
Chapter 3: And Hope That This Is Just Imagination
Chapter 4: I'm Just Standing Here Selling
Chapter 5: Devil And The Deep Blue Sea Behind Me
Chapter 6: In Dreams Begin Responsibilities
Chapter 7: The Meaning Of Things As They Appear To The Others
Chapter 8: All My Scars Are On The Inside
Chapter 9: Lay My Head On The Surgeon's Table

And:

Chapter 10: Who'd Watch For Me

Thank you for your patience. I will work on the next chapter next; Who Ya GOnna Owl? can wait until after that's done.

Great stuff, as usual.

One thing that I'm looking for is for Constantine to do something bad. Talking this over with Naomi, she pointed out that most of the Constantine she's seen has been the Neil Gaiman Constantine, who is somewhat gentler than the John Constantine of other authors, but one Constantine image that sticks in my mind is where he takes a chainsaw to Gabriel's wings -- Ennis' Constantine isn't nearly as nice as Gaiman's.

So, in conclusion, I'm enjoying what you're writing; it's got the characters and the world done right. But I'd love to see Constantine really screw someone over. Maybe Dumbledore, if he could manage it without interfering with his chance at getting back home. Because Dumbledore is really kind of a dick.

I was recced this by [livejournal.com profile] bexone after bemoaning the lack of fic using the huge potential for interesting crossover between Constantine's world and Hogwarts. I just read all ten parts and am riveted! Your character voices are strong and unique and hilariously on the mark, and you're keeping the pace and plotting tight and interesting.

So many lines have made me laugh in John's field notes; they're awesome, and the last part was especially great, introducing the students. Can't wait to read more, and thank you for the effort and care you're putting into two of my favourite universes! I do hope we get to see Tim and YoYo at some point.

Oh, this was fantastic. I was recced here by [livejournal.com profile] blythe, and I'm grateful to her, but SO grateful to YOU.

I love John's field notes, and the Slytherin!interaction, and the part where John hasn't heard of Harry, and the I-hate-school-not-stufy and oh, *everything*.

But mostly that John has seen worse things Voldemort, and stuck them in the face with a broken bottle. Way to have perspective, John!

I love my curiousity and short attention span. It leads the the best things.

I was reading archives of [livejournal.com profile] pottersues, you said something amusing, someone said they put you on [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes, I cecked there to see other peoples comments on it because I'm nosy like that, you mentioned the "THINGS I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DO ANY MORE AT HOGWARTS," which I checked, found hilarious, and looked in your memories section for more. The moment ff.n gets back to normal, I am checking out chapter ten.

So far, I LOVE this story. Granted, I had never heard of John Constantine until a few hours ago, the only things I know about the comic are from that bit I skimmed at Wikipedia, and I am currently imagining Dirk Gently in his place to make up for my lack of knowledge, but I love it.

*adds to memories as a reminder to check later*

[livejournal.com profile] hohaiyee brought me over here by reccing this on [livejournal.com profile] rakeatthegates. I suppose that after four years, there's not much chance of seeing more, but I loved it anyway! So much was beautiful, but the way he carves his way through Hogsmeade with that terrifying smile is my favorite thing of all.

Hah! Well, I can't argue with that. :) I'm glad I found it, though, because it led me to your blog, which is very interesting reading. Would you mind if I friend you?
