When do you need it done by, and do I have to read what's gone before in order to be any use to you? I'm willing to read the previous material, but it may mean that it will take time for me to catch up.

It works better if you've read the previous material, yeah. Being that it's a Harry Potter / Hellblazer crossover, too, it needs familiarity with both canons.

Also, there will be a need for Britpicking.

I didn't know John Constantine was in Swamp Thing! Damn, I loved Swamp Thing. (I know he was a rip-off of Man Thing, but still, he was much cooler.)

I'm familiar with Constantine's character, although it's been a while since I read my graphic novels, so the details of his adventures are a bit hazy (though I've got some of them here and can look them up). Decently familiar with HP, too, having reread the books several times.
