Got up at 6 AM and put food in the cats' bowls. Went back to bed planning to be up before 7.

Was up before 7 all right. With paper towels and spray bottle in hand. Twice.

At least I should be seeing fewer of these incidents; I'm pretty sure Shula's problem this time around was that I was running low on Laxatone this past week, but I bought two tubes of it yesterday. I just hope this is not an omen for the rest of the day.

Slight snag in the process of getting an FAA medical certificate to fly: they really don't like kidney stones in a person's medical record. Or rather, they don't like the chance of them happening again, since according to the kindly older gentleman who performed the exam for me, "the worst physical pain a human being can undergo can cause problems if you're trying to land". I have to get a urologist to issue a letter about the stones I've had in the past (I didn't keep the doctors' documentation, alas) and then do a CT scan or an ultrasound to determine whether I'm carrying any at the moment and whether or not they're likely to start moving if they do happen to exist. In the meantime I'm not booking any more flight time until I get the FAA's medical okay.
