Mar. 12th, 2011 03:55 pmTook the bike out for a six mile ride yesterday. The time was.... reflective of the fact that I bike in a urban area with many stoplights and a hill with very little protection from traffic for cyclists. We shall not speak of it further.
However, today I rode to a track about three miles from home. I was not allowed to bike on it, but it put me outside the nightmare streets of Hoboken. I did 5.17 miles in 21 minutes, 41 seconds. I will have to do 6.r miles in the same time by my birthday, plus my situps and pushups within the same hour. I will do pushups when I get home- I had lunch and got some groceries at the 5.17 mile mark and then headed back about five miles or so to the light rail station to take the train home. you would too if you were wearing my lock and chain across your chest.
Onward and upward. Woo.
