Feb. 14th, 2013 08:51 amSo, you know how I said I didn't need to play Plague, Inc. any more?
Changed my mind.
And aside from running into a bit of trouble when I first unlocked Fungus as a disease type, I've been... pretty much mopping the floor with the human race, really. Repeatedly. At least on Normal difficulty. Today I managed it for the first time on Brutal, with a bacterium. It really is a much simpler game when you understand the principles of epidemiology and work with those as far as you can. (It's a 99-cent game. You're not going to get a fully realistic simulation by any stretch of the imagination, but you're going to get a pretty good one- an outstanding one for 99 cents.)
So, uh, happy St. Mark Downs' Eve*, and you can rest assured knowing that even if I go back to school and take night courses in epidemiology again (I found some in the Boston area), my repeatedly low scores in o. chem mean that they'll never let me near an actual bioengineering lab.
*The four quarter-feasts of St. Mark Downs, at least in the US, are February 15th, Easter Monday, November 1st, and December 26th- the four days all the leftover holiday candy goes on sale.
