Hey, can anyone help me find a PB? I've got a character I'm gonna be apping at Milliways, and while I don't expect her to last more than a few months, I'd still like to scare up a decent PB without running afoul of the horrors of Google Image Search. The character is fourteen or fifteen, short- five feet tall or so- with dark hair and dark eyes. She's got a gymnast's build and is described by the first-person narrator of her canon as 'a little too mannish-looking for one's bed'. She comes from the northern side of the Caucasus Mountains. Her canon's set in the Bronze Age and her ethnicity, Sauromantian/Sarmatian, doesn't exist any more.

I tried to get some descriptions from the Net of what the Sarmatians looked like, but they're not that much help, plus for some reason I keep getting results from white supremacist web sites. Which, no. The current PB I'm using for her when I'm not using a picture of one of the Knossos bull-dancing frescoes is here, but that woman's one of the handful of successful female bullfighters and is at least twice Thalestris' canonical age, so there'd have to be some epic photoplasty to get her to look quite right.

Anyone have a better suggestion, or photomanip skillz0r? Thanks!

PB Updates on Insane Journal has a ton of different faces. If you scroll down on the right side their tags list different ages and ethnicities.

If no PB suggestions work out, I can change skin and eye colors; hair you probably want to ask someone else, I don't know why but I have trouble with it.

I, on the other hand, am pretty good at photoshopping hair. Just so long as I don't have to take dark hair and make it look light; haven't figured out how to do that and not have it look terrible.

Judging from context, you'd like somebody to find/work up a pic of your RPG character. I use DAZStudio4Pro (the site's undergoing an upgrade and is a bit borked right now, but: http://daz3d.com/ , check out the Wikipedia entry if that's hosed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAZ_Studio ) and can probably do something you'll be happy with, but I'm at my Mom's this weekend -- when do you need this?

It's an RPG thing, yeah. PB stands for 'played by'. It's not urgent, since apps won't open for the game I'd be playing at until the first of June. I'll let you know if I can't find a photo to work with. Thanks!

Actually, I think I've found a human I can use for this- her name's Eva Florencia, and she's a retired matador. There's some images of her when she was around fifteen or sixteen in a documentary movie on female bullfighters.

If you still wanted to try, Thalestris would've worn very little most of the time she was in Crete- the bull-dancers in her canon generally performed in a pair of breeches, a pair of boots, and more jewelry than Mr. T. No weapons. Before she was taken to Crete she was described as wearing 'a quilted jacket and deerskin trousers', and her weapon of choice was a Scythian shortbow to be fired from horseback.

Let me know if you want anything changed -- the faceshape is pretty much the best I can do (there are other people better at this), but I could use different hair, clothes (that quilt effect'll go on anything), pose, and camera angle. If you want to use your own background I can render it with the background transparent, that'll make it easy.
