La la la...

It's grey and it's rainy and while I've had a few irritating moments, nothing really had the power to disturb my tranquility today. Not even knowing that we're gonna go through work orders on Monday and see what I"ve actually done and just didn't get signed off on, and what I haven't done at all. It's cool outside and I'm wearing a logo shirt and jeans and nice comfortable stompy shoes, and I had a good lunch, and I got stuff done that I needed to get done, and no one even noticed that I was a bit late getting back due to traffic. What little bonus money anyone got this year (salary freezes are nasty, but beat the alternative) arrived in this week's paycheck, so I should be able to make my tuition payment and pay for my bridesmaid outfit before I leave for Canada. I feel like I did last September 10th, except for the part where I wondered why I was having such a peaceful, the-world-is-leaving-me-alone day. I'm not wondering this time, I'm just letting it happen...
oh, and ordering from Amazon. The Deer and the Cauldron: The Second Book. There are three. The last one is due out sometime in October. With luck, this may be at my doorstep before I leave for Canada! It'll make a nice companion for the train ride, and if it's not - well, I have other things on hand that should do just fine. Yay, Book of Kicking Ass!
Today's pulp survival tip is #165. Do not enter contests of skill, daring, cunning, fortitude, survival, etc. unless you absolutely have to. Showing off without good reason attracts Evil Villains faster than saying 'nothing can stop us now'.
