I have strabismus, which means my eyes don't like up properly; it gives me horrific headaches. (I went to see "Despicable Me", and staggered out about twenty minutes later, and nearly threw up on the manager's shoes when she saw me, that was how bad the headache was.)
(Once I explained, the manager was actually quite kind, admitted that some people did had problems, and changed my ticket for the non-3D version, even refunding me the difference in cost, which I said wasn't necessary, but she insisted.)
I saw that and agree with mostly. I say mostly as I did see Scorsese's Hugo in 3D and the man used the 3D to add serious depth to the cinematography rather than as a gimmick. Course this is the only 3D film I've see since the late 80s so I may not be the best sample.
I heard a radio interview with Scorsese about Hugo, and his main point was that 3D isn't inherently cheesy, it's just largely been used on cheesy movies so far. (And color and sound were both used poorly in their early days, too.)
