Hey, can I ask a favor of my friends who speak languages other than English? I'm trying to write some Fallout fic and I need last names for characters. Specifically, last names that render into English as things like "Redshirt" and "Deadmeat" and "Expendable". Can anyone help me out with some translations of that sort?

In Japanese:

Redshirt = 赤シャツ (Akaishatsu)
Deadmeat = デッド肉 (Dedoniku)
Expendable = 消耗品 (shomo-hin)

In French

Redshirt = Chemise rouge
Deadmeat = Viande mort
Expendable = Consommable

These are rough translations of course.

Redshift = l'eine rua (' standing in for the fada/accent aigu over the e)
Deadmeat = feola marbh (that's a literal translation, I'm sure there's a better colloquial term with the same sense but I don't know it)

Arabic: قميص أحمر (qamees ahmar, or 'amees ahmar in Egyptian pronunciation.) It sounds totally unnatural as a last name to me, but so does Redshirt, so whatever!

It's been too long since I've studied it for me to be sure I was getting the word with the right connotations for the others, especially without my dictionary to hand.
