To my deep and abiding shame,
Sep. 23rd, 2002 10:04 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
despite watching more HK action movies in the space of seven months than pretty much anybody should, I did not recognize the sound of Cantonese when I heard it the other day. In fact, I exclaimed "What the hell are they singing in?"
In my defense, the singer was Skeletor. Come and see the Ray Harryhausen tribute!
Thank you,
pjammer, for clearing up the mystery. And thank you,
cadhla, for saying they were singing in Skellington. Apparently the Feng Shui rpg is right... everyone, everywhere, in every time frame, speaks Cantonese. Even if they're, you know... Skeletor.
Today's pulp survival tip is #45: Watch out for any room that contains carefully arranged pillars, bookcases, or suits of armor that just happen to be evenly spaced in such a fashion that the top of one could smack into the body of the next.
