Ten miles yesterday on the bike. Got rained on, but not in earnest until 9.8 miles, so that's okay. Did pretty well- it didn't feel like much effort except at one or two hills. I need to work on more of those for the Fondo.

My left foot has a heel spur that tends to bother me at varying levels, off and on. Yesterday was pretty bad. My right knee, two days ago, started having moments when it hurt and felt like it needed to pop (a la popping/cracking one's knuckles), but wouldn't do so even when I shook out the leg. Not constantly, just sometimes, when walking on a flat surface. It's more disconcerting than anything, since I will often have to stop and wait or slow down while I wait for it to pass. Neither pain happened at all while I was on the bike.

I'm not really sure I want to turn into King Cho-Hag of Algaria. I mean, there's worse people. But still.

I have had a similar problem with my knees. My doc diagnosed it as an imbalance between my overly strong quads and the opposing muscles. The tight quads drag the kneecap out of place and it begins to ride on bits it is not designed to ride on. She recommended stretching the quads and doing more glute work (cut back on the stairs, increase high rpm on the bike).

Also glucosamine may or may not help.
