Jun. 19th, 2011 11:45 amI made root beer syrup yesterday, using this guy's instructions and herbs I bought at a store on the Lower East Side. The whole apartment still reeks of sassafras.
Okay, reeks isn't the right word, as sassafras is quite a pleasant smell, but still. I have to wonder what the garbage men thought/will think of the overwhelming sassafras smell from the strained-out herbs and bark in last night's trash; that's not what you usually get in the garbage around here...
