Feb. 2nd, 2011 07:56 amMade it in to work this morning despite Hoboken being iced over. Only fell down once. The buses eventually started running, and by 'eventually' I mean 'at roughly the moment I reached the PATH station/bus terminal that I had walked to because NJ Transit had shut down bus service until at least 7 AM'. I took the PATH anyway because the bus would've
a) traveled over icy roads
b) taken longer to get to Manhattan
c) required me to walk from the Port Authority to the office, whereas the PATH train drops me at the 33rd street station and from there I take another train and come up under my office building with no surface time at all.
Would've liked to call in scared of the weather and work from home today, but my boss was sick yesterday & the other IT guy has a daughter, and I figured she might get school canceled, so that'd leave... me. We'll see how the day goes.
