Jan. 28th, 2011 01:43 amI made my willpower rolls. 35-41-30-24-41 pushups, separated by 60 seconds' rest between each set. Admittedly they were nowhere near soldier pace, and towards the end I had a hell of a time getting my legs up off the ground at the same time as the rest of me, but they were all proper pushups (none of this knee-on-ground stuff) and I was never on the ground for more than the time it took to breathe in, breathe out, and maybe breathe in again. So... yeah. 171 total. And I can still use my arms and back and lungs. Yay.
My dad asked the other day if I was going to be some kind of Viet Cong commando when this was done. Dad's weird sometimes. (The closest he's ever been to Asia is New York City's Chinatown, and his time in the Army reserve was mostly spent relaying mail during a postal worker strike.) I told him the Cong wouldn't take me unless I could do two hundred squats, too.
... 'course, now if I actually add that to my workout it's gonna be odd....
Anyway. Did those pushups today. The next workout is ... huh boy. 19, 19, 22, 22, 18, 18, 22, at least 45.
Saturday's gonna be fun.
