Jan. 23rd, 2011 11:02 pmNew Year's resolutions this year:
1. I will not put out the Sun.
2. I will not die.
3. I will not trust the users until I actually go and see what the hell they're talking about with their computers.
4. I will read fifty-two books that I have not read before this.
So far I am not dead and the Sun is still shining, so I'm good there, and I mostly have #3 down. #4, I've got one of fifty-two out of the way; I finished Lord of Misrule today, Christopher Lee's autobiography. Good book. Fun read. Rather like listening to a series of stories being told at a party. Occasionally a bit weird because you can hear them being told in Christopher Lee's voice, and that gets strange when he starts telling the one about the first time he worked in live television and the other actor let out a thunderous fart and couldn't stop farting the whole time... and you're hearing it in the voice of Saruman, and just... yeah. But a good read nonetheless. Next up: Survival City (adventures among the ruins of atomic America) by Tom Vanderbilt.
