i've been doing it for a while now; it seems like i'm permanently stuck on week 3 or 4.

make sure you mix it up with other forms of exercise!

Shouldn't be a problem. I do stair climbing three days a week at this point to get ready for the MS Society's Climb to the Top, and on those days I use the weighted ab crunch machine at work, too.
