*blink blink blink*
One of my company's executives just walked in and told me that it's been decided- the company would like to sponsor me for the New York Multiple Sclerosis Society's Climb to the Top fundraiser event in February. To the tune of $1000. So long as I wear a company T-shirt and maybe a company hat.
Considering that the last time I mentioned it to anybody at work was weeks ago- well, okay, other than telling the receptionist the other week that I had succeeded at climbing forty floors in this building and why I was doing it... daaayum.
I'm good with that.
ETA: For those of all y'all who weren't reading this last year, when I first did Climb To The Top, it's an event where people get donations together for multiple sclerosis research and treatment and in return get to climb the GE Tower in Rockefeller Center. Mezzanine to roof, that's 66 floors. I did it last year in 20 minutes, 39 seconds and spent quite a bit of time afterwards wandering around in circles trying not to spit because, well, rooftop. It's a good cause, and several people I respect, including my grandmother, died of the disease, so punching it in the eye (so to speak) is something of a thing, for me.
