Nov. 1st, 2010 07:58 amI am not entirely sure I slept last night. Between my sidereal clock or whatever the term for the human body's day/night clock still being on Pacific time, and sleeping late in the morning before but not late enough, and a little chocolate at my parents' (seriously, only a little- and nothing after 6:15) I don't think I actually slept. Got some lying-down-eyes-shut time, that's about all I can say for sure. Will muddle through the day at work anyway.
Yesterday was good. My niece and nephew were glad to see me when I visited my parents. We carved pumpkins and we went trick-or-treating and we played Apples to Apples: Kids Edition and several other games. At one point we got the card "Strong" in Apples to Apples. There were only two of us, myself and my nearly-six nephew. I played "George Washington".
He played "Batman".
I... I'm kind of proud. Both of him, and of the fact that my mother- who can remember all of three superheroes, namely Batman, Superman, and Spiderman- agreed that Batman was stronger than George Washington. Granted, we had to teach Nick who George Washington was, but even so!
Anyway, I'm at work now and I'm doing my best to get back into the swing of things on this coast. I shall manage.
