Sep. 30th, 2010 10:06 amWell, the streets are flooding (in that the storm drains are proving inadequate and the water is inches deep, not in the sense that cars are being washed away) in Hoboken. This happens. I am used to it. Sort of wish I had put my boots on this morning instead of my walking shoes, but hindsight is like that. Oh well.
The cats seem to be pleased with the weather, if finding both of them in the window repeatedly despite it being open and the wet getting in is anything to go by. I suppose they get a good enough view of the outside world below them that it doesn't faze them much to get the odd bit of wet through the screen. They seem to be getting along well enough to share the window, which is nice. The only fighting I saw yesterday was a slap when Shula got too close to Kamella's cardboard box, and I think Kamella was playing the Hide And Lie In Wait version of tag more than trying to start a fight. Shula's urinary tract is definitely working more smoothly now, considering what I had to clean up before leaving the house. Kitty, I love you, but could you maybe try just a little harder to get into the litterbox instead of going an inch and a half in front of it?
(Still no word from VPI, btw. I will be calling them today to find out if they got what I had the vet fax them.)
It is, overall, largely quiet at the moment. I'll be working on studying Cisco stuff later today. Whatever happens with the job I might as well keep moving ahead on that front.
