Aug. 18th, 2010 08:10 amI'm awake. This should count for something. Yes, I've said it before, but given that one of my IT co-workers is working from home today to test our office's ability to keep things running even remotely and another one is out sick, and my boss doesn't come in until 9:30 so far as I know, and Shula was meowing at me for gooshy at 5:45, I really do think it should count for something.
Kamella's doing better, jumping to the third shelf of the kitchen closet to hide and perching on the kitchen windowsill in full sight for minutes at a time. Shula has walked into her vicinity, looked at her, and left without hissing a few times, which is an improvement too. I've also found evidence that Kamella is using the Clevercat litterbox, which is a definite relief, both on the 'do I need to buy a UV light and start searching' front and on the 'is she actually eating because I can't tell if it's her or Shula making the level of dry food go down' front. I know it's not Shula using the Clevercat because he's tried once or twice to use it and it's never been successful. So there's that.
I want to get a new wireless adapter for my laptop. Currently it tends to drop carrier if I take the laptop from one room to another, at which point it swears that it can no longer see any networks and the only resolution is to reboot. I could understand this if it weren't for the part where the most common drop is when I go from the living room into the room with direct line of sight on the wireless router. The part where occasionally this happens in the middle of a session for no visible reason doesn't really help either.
phbleah. Anyway, the day will get better, I'm sure. And hopefully Kamella will be more amenable to attention when I get home, and Shula less hissy.
