After using NeilMed's Sinus Rinse product for the first time on my doctor's orders I can safely say that "Power wash" is a phrase high on my list of 'things I never want to hear a doctor say'. (Currently, the rest of the list is "large, dark mass", "googlewhack", and "colony of spiders".)

GAH.

Neti pot? Or that squeezy bottle? Honestly, I love those things but then I have allergies from hell at times.

Squeezy bottle. Doctor said neti pot is okay for maintenance but that I should be 'power washing' my sinuses to help clear out the irritations causing my persistent cough. hence, squeezy bottle.

Oh, I love the squeezy bottle. I'm prone to terrible sinus infections (though I haven't had one yet this year, knock on particleboard), and I would spend days wheezing through my mouth, unable to sleep properly and/or waking up with a super sore throat. And then a friend gave me a squeezy bottle, and I could BREATHE AGAIN!

It's about as much fun as a facial enema (another phrase you never want to hear from a doctor), but it's better than the alternative.

Actually, I have one that may almost be worse, but it has to be said in a speculative tone as the doctor's brows slowly start to furrow:

"Huh."

That's never a good sign.
