GAAAAH.

Don't know if it was the dextromethorphan or the OH GOD WHY, WE THOUGHT YOU FORGOT THIS STUFF EXISTS, WHYYY factor, but in the ten minutes since I took it the Buckley's Cough Mixture really seems to have reduced my coughing by half or more.

My esophagus and stomach are still going YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING US, SERIOUSLY, WHY DID YOU NOT GET SOMETHING MORE HUMANE, LIKE MAYBE STERNO. But that's their problem.

We swear (and cringe) by Buckley's in our house.

My daughter's reaction to it (now grown) - "Isn't it horrible?"

Sadly, it works better than anything we've ever used.

I have a bottle of it at home, but it was the regular kind. I just needed the coughing to stop, or at least slow down. And I figured, well, the concentrated horrible would stand a chance of blowing my sinuses open far enough to get some air.

It's a Canadian cough medication made entirely of Don't Put That In Your Mouth, Stupid Human. With a little water and carrageenan for texture. Capsaicin, pine needle oil, camphor, things like that. It believes in blasting your respiratory passages open and burning its way down your throat.

Must be awful stuff--I take the CVS brand Tussin maximum strength (not always strictly for coughs); if that stuff hits the back of your throat, it's Gagging Time. Shit burns, too.
