Between one thing and another, I'm gonna be coming in to work at 7:30 from now on, it looks like. Not my idea of fun- not even my idea of good- but someone other than our IT logistics/purchasing guy has to be here when the traders start up, and the traders think 7:30 is a reasonable time to start up. So.

If any of you feel the need to buy me birthday presents next May, or other presents any time soon? Starbucks gift cards make Cam a happy camper. Or at least a camper who won't eat the other campers.

Generally I'm supposed to be able to leave at 4:30- I was working 9 to 6 before this. We'll see if that holds now.

Your job reminds me so much of my dad. My dad worked 6 to 3 or some odd hours like that, but because the factory he was a manager at (there were other managers!) seemed to be unable to function without him, he'd get calls all throughout the day and night unless we screened them. It was normal for them to make him go in at 3am and then come back.

So whenever I read your stories about your job, they seem frightening familiar to that. :9
