For some reason edits to my last entry didn't go through, and I edited twice.

Anyway. Alien abduction stories. Any of you more familiar with the genre than I happen to know if there are organs or body parts traditionally removed, other than gamete samples? From humans, I mean. Cattle mutilations don't count.

H'kay. I'm gonna be working my Fallout 3 pup through the events of Mothership Zeta soon, and given the trope-tacular nature of the game, I didn't want to miss anything.

I'm still considering a few removals, though. Mostly because I'm skipping Point Lookout entirely for various reasons (one of which is O HAI SUPRIES LOBOTOMY) but want to keep the same level of AIIIGH WHAT HAPPENED, and nothing says AIIIGH WHAT HAPPENED like a few unexplained scars and coming up short on a count of all your usual teeth.

(Although the urge to install an extra copy of some ordinary human organ is pretty strong, for great WHY DO I HAVE THREE KIDNEYS.)

Whee! Three kidneys sounds awesome. Really, pretty much anything that'd fit the plot's needed level of AIIIGH is probably supportable.

I have read *somewhere* that occasionally organs are removed and replaced with Alien Technology, but I cannot at all remember where I saw that. Possibly The Invisibles graphic novel series, it's full of UFOs and weird shit like that.

Not to my knowledge - aside from the reproductive material samples.

There's precedent for a variety of invasive exams and surgery (and the implants, of course), but not w/r/t parts removal.
