Yesterday was, biologically speaking, not the best day of my life ever. Let's just say that Menstrua the Mutant Archfiend struck with her twice-a-year Big Damn Throwdown special attack and leave it at that. I was supposed to go to Secaucus and work on our company servers there, but thanks to the Mutant Archfiend, this didn't happen. I got stuff done with

daniidebrabant and

sylveraven in the morning and came home with the remainder of my stuff from their place, and stopped to get the mail. First envelope out was a generic "take our coupons! PLEASE!!!" mailing, but the next envelope had 'SUMMONS TO APPEAR IN COURT' visible through the little window... gah, hadn't I dealt with all of the landlordy stuff already? went through my mind. Were they suing me for something I'd done to the old apartment? So I opened it in the breezeway.

It's not often that people are relieved to see they've been summoned for jury duty, I think.

So I've got jury duty on the 20th of April. Federal district court in Newark. This should be interesting, assuming I actually get called.
