camwyn | Whew. Glad that's over.

Got a notice of attempted delivery for a certified letter from my old landlords yesterday, so I had to go to the PO this morning before coming in to work. Managed to forget my hat, which was not cool because I've been using that hat as a substitute for an umbrella. Also managed to walk right past the post office and go three blocks out of my way before I realized it, so I had to turn around and go back.

Turned out there was still money left on my security deposit after they finished cleaning the apartment, repainting the walls, and replacing the stained carpet. (Even if it weren't for the cats there were stains in other places that I'd never been able to get out.) So, all in all it really wasn't too bad. I'm going to see what I can do about getting a new clock and some other home accessories for my new place with that money, since I'd written it all off as a loss. Maybe a new pair of shoes, too.
