Got paid today. Looked at my bank account. Huh, funny, wasn't there supposed to be more in there?

... what is this pending debit from Comcast? Did I or did I not cancel my service on February 26th-27th?

Apparently I did and my service was terminated, but because they didn't have any time slots to disconnect on the outside of the building they just left me on the rolls to be billed. They're sending someone now to disconnect the outside. On April 9th. And they're refunding my money- six to eight weeks after the outside disconnection goes through.

So because they messed up, I'm $120 short until June. Thanks, Comcast.

(And yes, I discussed this with a billing person over the phone. The best she could do was tell me that this was standard policy and they were very sorry and they couldn't get me my money back any faster.)

This is presumably when you ask to speak to a supervisor, and then THEIR supervisor

I think at least you should write them a letter of complaint informing them that this really *shouldn't* be their standard policy. Idiots. :/

Sue them in small claims court for the interest.

Report this on one of the many websites now devoted to crappy customer service.

Ugh, Comcast. That's why we have satellite/DSL instead of cable. :/

Huh. When Rogers did this on my phone landline, I told them I'd see them in the pages of the Toronto Star, and they caved. I't not their money, it's yours, and they have stolen it. That's THEFT. Charge them.

Augh. How obnoxious.

I feel vindicated in never setting up billpay from the vendor's end. I'll use my bank's online billpay service, and direct them to make payments to vendors, but I won't let the vendors go in and take it. Because I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. And apparently Comcast takes a lot of throwing.

Of course they can, they just don't -want- to. Raise hell.
