Seriously, man, what the hell? I've gone to Toy News International and looked at the pictures. Three white guys and Slimer. Did they not get the rights to Ernie Hudson's face or are they just going 'people aren't going to buy the black guy' or are they putting him in some hypothetical second wave of figures just in case the first wave of figures doesn't sell well or what?

From what I hear, each doll has the same body. They are just putting different heads on. So um, yeah Winston with a white body would be even worse. This is all sorts of wrong.

Definitely a case for cannibalizing a GI Joe, then. The trick would be finding a black Joe to the same scale who's got hair- Roadblock's got a shaved head, if I remember right, and I think most of the rest are either bald or have some form of headgear that wouldn't work.

Mmph. When I saw the pictures and they had three white guys and one green guy available for the photo shoot, I sort of looked at that versus the press release. And, well, given that the toy company that did Avatar basically dumped Katara so far onto the back burner that they were doing virtually every single male character in the Avatar universe ever before they got around to a wave that would have the, y'know, female lead in it... I figured that Mattel would claim they were going to do a Winston figure, and then sit on it as long as they possibly could, because 'our target demographic isn't likely to buy that'.
