I have made fudge. It's cooling now and should be good for cutting in the morning.

Forgot how much molten sugar spits if you're not careful, but a few tiny burns on the wrist are a small price to pay for this. I do need to replace my candy thermometer, though, it gave out sometime earlier in the year and I didn't even notice.

This one. I learned how to make fudge from Tom Skaarup's original web site and was heartbroken when it disappeared- I've never found out why it vanished, but have a vague feeling Skaarup died or something. The recipes've been re-gathered by fans, though, and they're all worth checking out.
