I'm sorry if I wasn't here at 10:00 when you were here, but I arrived within ten minutes and I had a cell phone. Also you had my office number and could've called there, and they could've called here.
If you were supposed to be here at 11 and not 10- since I don't remember which of the two it was- well, I was here then. Still am.
C'mon, mister, the car has to be back by four.
