Fifth Element r0x0r.
Feb. 2nd, 2002 09:22 pmSorry. Just watched it on the computer. I LOVE my new drive. I gotta upgrade my speakers, they couldn't deal with the sound very well, but overall it is a VERY cool experience.
Been working on a new sketch, but it's not really scannable yet. Today's attempt: Xiang Hong, Fang's oldest brother and one mean sonofabitch. When I described Fang and his origins to a friend of mine who's a fan of HK action movies, he made a comment to the effect of "and the Triads don't own him?". No, they don't. Nor do they own anyone in his family. Hong is the reason why. I won't go into more detail than that here - I still need to polish him up a bit - but I saw enough of his history unroll in my head today that I had to at least try to draw him. Man, considering that these guys (and girls; Fang's sisters will be next on the list) all started out as mere background dressing for my Akashic in a once-a-week game, they're sure turning out to have more to them than I thought...
Oops, almost forgot. Today's pulp survival tip is #97: Don't participate in any religious ceremonies until you find out exactly how they end for EVERYONE concerned.
