Once again, we are at the stage of 'well, I'm awake'. I'm getting various database duplication schemes in position for the day for our various servers, working up the various steps and means necessary to participate in a video conferencing demonstration this afternoon, prodding my left hand to see whether the ring and pinky fingers are fully back online yet (answer: they don't sting as much, but I'm still not riding Chromia again until they feel better than this), being infinitely glad for upcoming vacation because good lord do I need a day when nobody calls me or emails me with the assumption I will deal with their computer problem within the next eight hours, pondering the next Half-Life 2 writeup, considering doing a similar writeup series when I start playing either Stranglehold or Bioshock just to see if I can make a recurring feature of it, preparing the next round of slime-related incidents to happen to Ray and Jhalak for milliways_bar (it involves a haunted strip club in Boise, Idaho), preparing two new computers for people who'll be starting here in July and August, going over hardware needed for the interns who're going to start while I'm away (gaaah), giving some initial thought to the three tropes I was handed in the TV Tropes Writing Challenge, and just generally wishing I had some g33k b33r because I could use a bottle of guarana-bearing root beer right now. Coffee just isn't the same.

As I said- I'm awake. A state assessment beyond that would be tricky at best.

Oh, I'll manage. I got close to six hours of sleep last night, which is a lot for me. I'm good.

Doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to video game violence tonight at daniidebrabant's, though.

(I'm going to jump on the computer tonight to attempt some administrative things running around in the gmail account; I feel a bout of tidyness happening.)

Thanks, hon. I'm just mightily pleased that I'm not clawing the burns up because of itching. I'm wondering how much of that is due to the stuff I used to clean up with... there were hot water showers at the finish line, and I washed up with a soap that had rassoul mud in it. When I got home I grabbed a massage bar (I've had the same bar in my fridge for like two years now) and rubbed it on everything achy or burned. It was basically made of cocoa butter, mint scent, and adzuki beans. Nothing is itchy or bubbly yet. I'm guessing the cocoa butter helped.

I'll do my best. I realized somewhere back around high school that I had a fairly massive conviction that whatever I was doing, it just wasn't enough, and while I've licked most of that feeling I still get motivated by it sometimes.
