(Pie ... in the sky??? OMG, who's showed you those old Wonder Wart-Hog strips?) [reminisces] on the High-Park-to-Beeton-and-back century ride we used to stop at the Pine Valley pie shop in midafternoon for a small slice of apple pie with Balderson cheddar. And tea. Lots of tea. [/reminisces]
A friend of mine rides one, but he's not on LJ. A fellow bass in Common Thread, Larry Crakower, QC.
They are the subject of a legal experiment up here, provisionally given the status of regular bicycles, no rider's license required. The definition is loose enough that some resemble electrically-powered Vespas with absurdly wide-spaced pedals for legality, though. Larry's is a real bicycle-looking bike. The legal situation will vary from one jurisdiction to the next, of course.
