So yesterday was a good birthday. Work wasn't anything especially outstanding one way or the other, but it was relatively quiet, people were nice to me, and the office got donuts in the morning, so that was good. Then Danii and Sherri and Geoff and I went to see Speed Racer, and I really enjoyed it, despite never having seen the cartoon in my life.

Ramen? I know I only thought I saw a resemblance before, but now that I've seen him in action I need screencaps of Inspector Detector. Like, NOW. You were totally right.

... and after that we all went out to dinner at Outback and I rediscovered the fact that animal protein takes me a long time and a lot of blood to digest, so I crawled into bed and fell asleep early. All in all, pretty good, and now I have a cat purring on my lap. I'm good.

I have plans, when the next Narnia movie comes out, to have a little movie marathon - Narnia, Iron Man, and Speed Racer, for great 'EE MY CHILDHOOD' glee.

(Forget the fact that I was 20 the first time I read Narnia. It makes me FEEL like a kid and that's good enough!)

So I'm glad to know SR was worth watching!

It should probably carry a warning for epileptics. The camera was always steady, but the flashy visual effects are not good for people with photosensitive epilepsy or migraine disorder.
