Ah, Nikola Tesla, thank you so very very much for being such a rotated* genius. You make my life so much easier. Why make someone up for RP purposes when reality was kind enough to grant me someone who fits my needs for Ray's plots exactly?

*In the sense that he's not mad, but compared to what the people around him thought of as scientifically and socially normal, he's rotated through anywhere from ten to forty-five degrees' worth of difference.

Dude, Tesla was made of awesome and win. Alas, I've never found a picture of him in goggles (though the one of him holding a glowing wireless bulb makes up for it).

I think we can make an exception in his case. There's mad, and there's, "Dude, how in HELL did you make that work?"

Anyway, the man blew up a town's generator by making lightning. On a mountain. Because he could. I think we're past the point of needing any accoutrements. ;)

Feynman was my first scientific homeboy, starting back when I was in high school. I absolutely idolized the man, and if you go through the short stories I wrote then I used to make a point of having at least one character with a dog or other pet named Feynman in his honour. My parents bought me the Gleick biography after I read, re-read, and re-reread the library copies of Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman and Why Should You Care What Other People Think. I've read QED and remember a pretty fair chunk of it, and I've read his buddy Leighton's stuff about their attempts to get to Tuva. I've even seen the one-man show Alan Alda did about him.

Tesla? Totally next on the list.

Thank you! It's from a 2004 Ghostbusters comic book. That's Egon Spengler, in college, right after a machine he and Ray built blew up in their faces.
