Feb. 26th, 2008 03:29 amWhen you are suffering from a post-nasal drip it is truly amazing how much air you can swallow as part of the process of trying to get that stuff away from the back of your throat.
It is also truly amazing how handy having left the glass you were using to drink orange juice from on your desk, rather than having put it in the sink, can be, since the evacuation of all that air from your digestive tract will occasionally lead the rest of the smooth muscles to places you wouldn't ordinarily want them to go and you're not necessarily fast enough to make it to the loo first.
So much for a night of rejuvenating and restful sleep. I think I'm gonna sack out on the couch and call in sick tomorrow, even if I don't have a fever.
