No, Brane. Even though you found a way to make it plausible to cross Equilibrium and the Mythos long ago, that does not mean you can cross Equilibrium with anything else. I don't care how entertaining the idea of Father saying, "Now, we can do this the easy way, or I can press this button right here and drop you into the Sharkticon pit" is. no.

Oh, sure. That's the real reason behind suppressing the emotions of an entire population, and behind keeping Libria as tightly under control as it is- hell, that's the real reason for the third World War. It wasn't against other humans, it was against the things of the Mythos, and there are huge areas out there that're nothing but green glass because the alternative was too horrible to contemplate. Prozium's being pushed down the population's throats (so to speak) because you can't drive somebody mad with terror if there's no terror there to push on.

It all goes back to the image of a single cleric silhouetted against the outline of something thirty or forty feet tall and tentacular and horrible, and a single speech balloon reading, "Partridge? We need bigger guns."
