Tried to watch Cloverfield.

Not happening. Maybe on small screen.

Pleased w/everything but the 20somethings and the damned camera work. More later when coherent again.

maybe the sequel will be better.

the wikipedia entry said something about the next one might be the same night from a different camera's perspective.

Maybe the next one won't follow the most boring corporate types imaginable as they get their spines broken in vehicular crashes or impaled on rebar only to run like olympians after a simple bandage cures their ills.

I'd like to know what happened to the first responders and red cross people who were forced to stay in Manhattan to organise the evacuation. Maybe they might have a newscrew with them who can actually hold a steady shot.

That would be nice. That would be really nice. Just as long as I don't have to see the twentysomethings again. At the start of the movie I was shifting in my seat more and more as that damned party went on, and just as I was thinking "I can't stand any of these people! When are we going to get the monster?", the first tremor hit and I thanked JJ Abrams... but after that it was just "I still don't like any of you people. Show me some soldiers or responders or something."

Also, if you want to get away from the 20 somethings, I wonder how the characters from Shortbus would have coped.

I'd love to see James use his swimming skills and newfound thirst for life to pull survivors from the wreckage of the brooklyn bridge.

Also there could be all kinds of innuendo with the perimeter around manhattan established to make Hammerdown effective and how it could be "permeable", even if not quite "forgiven".
