Jan. 1st, 2008 03:16 amThe first song that I heard on the radio with this New Year was "Who'll Stop The Rain", by CCR; whether this means anything or not, I don't know. I suspect it might. We'll see. But for now...
Here's to each of us on our placid little islands in the black seas of infinity. In the year to come, may we none of us be overwhelmed by those waters, and may we wander farther than we expect, but no farther than we can bear. When knowledge is pieced together in the days and months ahead, may the revelations achieved thereby be worth the effort. And may each and every one of us discover that our positions in the light of revealed reality are better than we had previously believed.
... and if that doesn't work and the Great Old Ones return at an inopportune moment, may you be eaten in the order and at the time of your own choosing.
Happy New Year, y'all.
