lienne and innerbrat in the ten things that make you happy meme- Write ten things off the top of your head that make you happy. Tag ten people to do the same. So I'm gonna, but I'm just going with things that make with the happy making, not people, because I woke up this morning at 8:22 in a full on panic that I'd overslept all my alarms and I somehow had to wash and dress and get out the door in less than five minutes and somehow not anger my bosses for being grotesquely late and oh wait the alarm clock says it's Saturday, and that kind of waking up experience is seldom conducive to thinking nice stuff about people.
1. Cooking.
2. Knitting.
3. The looks on people's faces when they realize I'm doing something they thought was impossible, or at least too difficult to be feasible.
4. Stained glass. Not necessarily windows. I'm happy just to go 'oooh' in a stained glass supply store as often as not.
5. Tiny obscure businesses on the second floors of buildings, where you'd never give them a second glance if you didn't either know what you were looking for or have a habit of exploring.
6. My bicycle.
7. When an animal I don't know trusts me enough to either let me touch it, or just not flee my presence or otherwise be hostile.
8. The looks on little kids' faces when I play puppets with them.
9. Growing rare varieties of vegetables in the garden, although I haven't had a garden in a while.
10. Being able to learn.
