There are days when my attempts to piss off as many pantheons as possible in an effort to trigger a pan-dimensional jurisdictional squabble upon my death, thereby avoiding an afterlife assignment altogether and allowing me to scarper off to get reincarnated as a dolphin or something, are quite deliberate.

And then there are days when I become firmly convinced that if I do rank being sent to one or more of the Special Hells, it will be because James Joyce couldn't follow my stream of consciousness without a GPS unit and Batman's grappler doohickey.

Details to follow once a certain RPG plot is wrapped up.

Have you tried Dubliners? His early work is a lot more accessible.

It's a book of short stories. "The Dead" is particularly powerful. :)

James Joyce equipped with a GPS unit and Batman's grappler doohickey is a great image.
