I need to have a character commit an act of bastardry as part of an upcoming plot, and I would like to see the advice of Internetly types who have the kinds of minds that process this sort of thing in the background when the brain has cycles to spare, but I don't want to tip my hand as to the specific nature of the act of bastardry, as some of the potential plot participants may be reading this. Has anyone got a suggestion for a place to ask such questions?

Just trying to work out the mechanics for making something happen. You know how comics fans will bitch like anything about 'but you can't actually have that fate befall so-and-so, because that character is capable of Y and Z and would do both of those without thinking, and then the outcome depicted in issue 42 would never come to pass'? I like to make sure that I don't make mistakes of that caliber when I'm constructing a plot element.
