Two archaeologists have put forward a theory that one of the most common ancient monuments seen around Ireland may have been used for brewing ale.

I've always found that research is a great way to explain traveling. It never fails -- every time I want to go to England, I have an excuse to go there and a reason to ask grant agencies to give me transportation money!

I'm not surprised.
I've read plenty of research that indicates the brewing of beer & fermenting wine in an organized fashion is the basis for human society as we know it.
