Well, I'm feeling considerably better this morning. The ache in my ears that started shortly after the screw-up with the neti pot is gone. I still had something of a congested-sinus headache when I woke up, but it was a lot less than yesterday. And last night's coughing fits weren't as bad as those before- bad enough to scare the cats, but not as bad as they could have been. Hopefully, taking tomorrow off and just hanging out on the beach will help.

Now I'm going to go get a buttload more tea, since that helps too.

Out of curiosity, where does one generally find neti pots for sale?

I think I got mine at the health food store across the street from where I live, but there may be something similar in Duane Reade, CVS, or other similar drugstore chains. There's certainly enough other 'stick this up your nose and run salt water around in there' products for sale in the cough and cold aisle of Duane Reade.

Thanks. I have wonky sinuses, due to pollution, pollen, and general atmospherics, and someone pointed the neti as an possible method to keep them irrigated.

Man, there's no way I would be able to use a neti-pot. I have extreme problems with liquid going up my nose.

It takes some getting used to. I used the pot a couple of times last year, and it wasn't bad, but this... whatever's got the blockage going on in my head was worse than usual. I think running the water into my nose forced some of it into my Eustachian tubes, or something.

Hmm. Keep an eye on it. As one with bad Eustachian tubes and sinus/ear problems since birth......

Yeah. Ear problems are one of the least fun things you can do.
