Got home at 6 PM. Fed cats. Changed clothes. Collapsed on couch.

ashurbadaktu showed up around 6:30 with soup and OJ. I buzzed her in, accepted her gifts, and put the oj away. I then spent half an hour debating whether getting out of the couch was worth getting something to eat. The answer was no, so I went back to bed.

Around 10 PM I woke up again and debated getting food and such, with the intention of not screwing up my sleep cycle. Agan I decided the answer was no.

Now my throat is raw, and I'm wondering about possibly having contracted strep AGAIN- Koch and your postulates, I hope you choke- and debating swallowing as much juice as my throat can handle before conking out on the couch one more time.

But I'm awake and not feeling entirely like hell. Just mostly.

I might try that later. I was marginally hungry this morning, enough to eat a bowl of cereal, but nothing like one would expect if I were healthy. My appetite tends to shut off when I'm sick. We'll see if I'm hungry when I go home.

I was able to wake up normally this morning, after my subconscious briefly combined two different alarm-clock rhythms into the most annoying sound ever in my dream, and I don't feel entirely like hammered hell, so I took two ibuprofen for the fever and went into work.

I have a progress meeting at ten with my bosses. I might be able to convince them to let me out early.
