We ordered lunch today from an Italian place that makes some of the best mass-market ravioli I know of. I ordered tortellini im brodo instead- tortellini in beef broth. I wound up consuming about half the broth, largely by soaking it up in rolls and eating the rolls. The prospect of eating the tortellini or drinking the rest of the broth does not appeal to me.

Duane Reade's my first stop on the way out the building tonight.

I've always thought tortellini im brodo is sort of a waste of a good vehicle for alfredo sauce, but that's just me.

I've never bothered with it before, but the only other soup on the menu was minestrone, and I wanted something that was a bit less of a challenge to navigate. Besides, ordinarily I like tortellini. In any form.

True. Tortellini is yummy. It's just much, much better with alfredo sauce. Tortellini with alfredo sauce approaches being the perfect food.

Now I'm hungry and I have 3 more hours of work.
