Well, dammit, it's a cake. A cake made of meat. Like, a layer cake. For the sake of MANLY baking. This takes the Southern tradition of the groom's cake at a wedding to whole new levels.

Meatloaf Dalek, mostly, although Brane did suggest the possibility of replacing one of the cake layers with the meatloaf to substitute for the squishy green blob in the middle of the dalekanium armour.

Mm, there is that. I shall have to check my King Arthur Flour catalog to see what they've got in the way of cake decorations, too; there may be something useful in there.

I'd say something about having only gotten to sleep around three AM last night or so, but I'm pretty sure I'd be having this conversation even if I'd slept a full nine or ten hours.

Yeah, sleep dep makes a lovely scapegoat, but I'm not sure we actually have justification for blaming it here.

Cake decorations are an idea, though. If one were inclined to go all-out, one could even mould things to fit.

Depends on which Dalek, really. The more modern ones have butterscotchy shells, but the ISO Standard Classic Dalek is black with little silver lumps on it.

Silver nonpareils aren't that hard to come by, so that shouldn't be a problem. Worst comes to worst, King Arthur Flour sells edible glitter in a number of colours (it's flavourless, though) and sparkling sugar in several other colours, so plating the lumps in that stuff is always an option.
