camwynJust got back from a bike ride. Distance as follows:
Leg 1: Home to Liberty State Park entrance: 0.79 mi.
Leg 2: LSP entrance to intersection of Burma Rd and Morris Pesin Dr, which is the length of Liberty State Park: 1.15 mi.
Leg 3: Burma/Morris Pesin to Caven Point Rd / Linden Ave. E intersection, which passes some sort of military facility, but is otherwise unremarkable: 1.43 mi.
Leg 4: Caven Point/Linden Ave. to Danforth Ave. to Ocean Ave. to Merritt, through Mercer Park and to John F. Kennedy Blvd., which is a good 3/4 of the way across the peninsula on which I live: 1.47 mi.
Leg 5: JFK Blvd. at Mercer Park to 54th, down towards Bayonne Park, around Marist School, under the Newark Bay Bridge, and back to Mercer Park: 0.77 mi. (only remarked upon because I was hoping to get a view of the bridge from below; alas, the fences made this impossible)
Leg 6: Same spot to Danforth, to Ocean, to Garfield, to intersection of Garfield and Communipaw Avenues: 3.11 mi.
Leg 7: Garfield/Communipaw, down Communipaw, onto Pacific, to Maple, to Monitor, to Johnston Av, to intersection of Phillip St. and Audrey Zapp Dr: 1.05 mi.
Leg 8: Phillip St. / Audrey Zapp Dr. to Grand St. to supermarket, thence to home: 1.16 mi.
Total ridden today: 10.93 mi. Funny, it felt like more. Oh, well. Tomorrow is another day, and a sunnier and warmer one at that!
