camwynAt the office, copying the file system from Spock to the new Spock2 server so that we can rename Spock to Nimoy, Spock2 to Spock, and Nimoy to Spock. The new machine is faster and hasn't been exposed to the HORRIBLE THERMAL DEAAAAATH that happened last year when the temperature in the server closet shot up to 120 degrees F.
I will also be removing the domain controller role completely from Spock before renaming it and probably taking away its DNS capacity while I'm at it, as the Romanas have that all nailed already. And then I will be allocating a very strict range of IP addresses on the DHCP server- or rather, our consultant will- and I will go from machine to machine and reassign their DNS servers, then reboot them all so that they acquire nice clean addresses within a properly defined range.
The sooner I get all this crap done, the sooner I get my Saturdays back.
