Earned a lump of coal in the ol' stocking today. Right now my favourite jacket is a red, white, and black thing I got last year from Steve & Barry's University Sportswear. It says 'CANADA' in several places, has a big ol' hockey player-maple leaf thing on the back, and has the Canadian flag on the front.

Bloke in the elevator: Canada, huh? Whereabouts in Canada?
Me: Brampton, Ontario. (thinking, "He will say 'I am from $MUNICIPALITY!", and I will say "I went there on vacation to visit a friend!")
Bloke: Oh, good, good... Visiting or working?
Me: Visiting. ("Well, I ... wait, he doesn't mean Brampton, does he.")
Bloke: *nods, smiles*
Me: ("I should tell him I'm just honourary. But... I won't.")
*very minor banter*
*elevator pulls up to his floor*
Bloke: *smiles, waves* Enjoy your visit!
Me: *smiles back*

Shouldn't've been dishonest like that. Naughty me. I shall get nothing but BRE-X shares this year I am sure.

Nah, it's fun. In his reality you ARE Canadian. I think that's cool. I'd love to, for example, fool someone into thinking I was from England.

Is it possible to fool someone into thinking you're Canadian if technically you ARE Canadian? I moved to the States when I was seven...
